At CimotaTech, we engineer cloud-native educational platforms that solve complex systemic challenges with zero deployment friction. We handle the heavy lifting of MIS integration, data security, and enterprise identity management, allowing our platforms to deliver pure, uninterrupted pedagogical value to the classroom.
Handwriting Horizons
The UK’s first fully automated, biomechanically driven handwriting scheme.
Traditional handwriting schemes rely on expensive, consumable workbooks and demand hours of manual lesson planning from teachers to ensure alignment with phonics progressions. Handwriting Horizons replaces this outdated model with a secure, serverless digital platform.
How It Works
- Phonics-Agnostic Synchronization: Handwriting Horizons automatically adapts to the school's existing phonics scheme (e.g., Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., Tric a Chlic). As pupils learn a new sound in phonics, our platform automatically generates handwriting practice for those exact graphemes.
- Biomechanical Pedagogy: Built on the 90-90-90 seating principle and a unique Sky/Horizon/Sea spatial framework, the platform focuses purely on motor-skill acquisition and physical ergonomics, including dedicated mirrored interfaces for left-handed pupils.
- Automated Compliance Reporting: The platform passively generates rich, whole-school data dashboards, giving Executive Heads and English Leads instant, exportable evidence of progression for Ofsted and Estyn inspections.
Native Localization
We do not believe in translated afterthoughts. Handwriting Horizons is deployed across two distinct, natively optimized portals to serve the exact pedagogical and regulatory requirements of English and Welsh schools.
For English Schools (Ofsted / DfE): Deployed via Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID. Visit handwriting.education
For Welsh Schools (Estyn / Hwb): Deployed with native Hwb SSO integration, featuring dedicated modules for Welsh digraphs and the to bach. Visit llawysgrifen.cymru
Future Roadmap
CimotaTech is continuously evaluating the EdTech landscape to identify areas where secure, cloud-native infrastructure can eliminate classroom friction. Our engineering team is currently mapping future modules focused on KS3 remediation, extended writing and early-stage Dysgraphia diagnostics.
