CimotaTech Ltd / Handwriting Horizons
This Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service ("Terms") governs the use of the Handwriting Horizons platform and associated CimotaTech infrastructure by contracted Multi-Academy Trusts, Local Authorities, and individual Schools ("Customer"), including their authorized staff and administrators ("Users").
By authenticating into the platform via Single Sign-On (SSO), Users agree to abide by these Terms.
1. License & Scope of Use
CimotaTech grants the Customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Handwriting Horizons platform strictly for pedagogical handwriting intervention and related educational compliance reporting.
- Authorized Users: Access is strictly limited to active pupils and verified staff authenticated via the Customer’s designated Identity Provider (Wonde, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or Hwb).
- Prohibited Sharing: Users must not share authentication tokens, session links, or bypass the SSO architecture to grant unauthorized third parties access to the platform.
2. Prohibited Conduct
To protect the integrity of our infrastructure and the security of all tenant data, Users strictly agree not to:
- Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, underlying biomechanical algorithms, or architectural framework of the platform.
- Data Scraping: Use automated systems, bots, or unauthorized API calls to scrape, harvest, or extract pupil progression data, user lists, or proprietary platform content.
- Security Interference: Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Google Cloud infrastructure, or breach the security or authentication measures without explicit, written bug-bounty authorization from CimotaTech.
- Commercial Misuse: Resell, sub-license, or use the platform to process data for any commercial purpose outside the contracted educational scope.
3. Intellectual Property (IP)
All intellectual property rights within the Handwriting Horizons platform—including the proprietary Sky/Horizon/Sea biomechanical spatial framework, UI/UX designs, native Welsh integration modules (to bach architecture), and the CimotaTech binary dragon branding—remain the exclusive property of CimotaTech Ltd.
- Customer data (including MIS rosters and pupil progression metrics) remains the exclusive property of the Customer.
4. Educational Disclaimer
Handwriting Horizons is engineered as a supplementary pedagogical tool. While it automatically generates handwriting interventions aligned with phonics progressions, it is not a substitute for active teacher supervision, nor does it guarantee specific educational or Ofsted/Estyn outcomes. CimotaTech provides the technical infrastructure; the Customer retains pedagogical responsibility for the classroom.
5. Account Suspension
CimotaTech reserves the right to immediately suspend access for any User or tenant environment found to be in violation of these security parameters, pending investigation with the Customer’s IT Director or Data Protection Office
